I'm originally from Bulgaria - a beautiful small country in Eastern Europe. My childhood was happy and magical, and I never wanted to grow up. I just didn't realize what an adventure grown-up life could be!
After I graduated from high school, I wanted to become a fashion model. This took me to Paris, and eventually New York, but a modeling career wasn't in the cards for me. I had to face the fact that I would always be an inch too short and two inches too wide. So instead, studied graphic design in college, and developed a passion for Photoshop and the Internet. Now that's where I fit just right!
I began taking photos in 2006 as a hobby, posting my first shots on Flickr. The lively community was incredibly stimulating, and helped me stay motivated and keep creating new photos. I never studied photography formally - I just kept improving my skills through practice. A few years into that, I was invited to become a contributor to agencies such as Getty Images and Trevillion. Now, my photos have been used on over 100 book covers and by companies such as MTV, Marie Claire, Microsoft, American Express, ABC, and many others. This has been incredibly rewarding and exciting! Who knows what the future holds? I just try to remember to enjoy every step of this journey.
